Ripple Learning, LLC / Zollege.com
Director of Coding, Internship Program Manager, Frontend Developer / Instructor, Contract Instructor In Feb 2023, the Austin Coding Academy and associated schools was acquired by Ripple Learning LLC. I agreed to stay on in the Director of coding role. In Feb 2024, I offered and opted to return to part-time role stepping away from administrative duties and focus on student facing priorities, including teaching, mentoring and internship management. The Director of Coding role consisted of managing the Austin Coding Academy and its affiliated training programs. This innovative online/offline, full-time/part-time coding bootcamp is producing the next generation of professional developers. Paid Internship Program Manager I was asked to create and manage a paid internship program called theMVPshop. Capable, but inexperienced grads from our coding programs were struggling to find work in the days of covid, and we came up with the idea to hire grads to work on professional projects. I am hiring, project managing, contract drafting, client managing, doing whatever needs to be done. At last count 72% of the grads got a full-time developer job within 6 months of entering the program. Frontend Developer / Instructor I was asked to teach in a full-time coding program for subsidiary Austin Coding Academy (half day) and do front-end development for Zollege (half day) In the teaching role, I taught HTML, CSS, Javascript, mySql, Node, React. In the dev role, I worked with Ruby, Jekyll, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and hubspot. Contract Instructor I taught in a part-time coding program for Austin Coding Academy before, during, and after their merger with Zollege. In the teaching role, I taught HTML, CSS, Javascript, bootstrap, mySql, Node, React. |
